Dave and Janel are originally from Paynesville, MN and now reside in North Branch, MN. They have an acoustic style, with folk and Christian influences. Their songwriting tells of personal truths and allows the listener to experience life’s moments through their eyes. Once described as beautifully simply harmony and guitar, Dave and Janel’s music will make you laugh, look a little deeper, and just plain feel good.

Expect to hear originals, but also covers ranging from artists like Martin Sexton, Patty Griffin, and Storyhill. They perform mainly in the areas around North Branch, St. Cloud, and the Twin Cities.

Janel has been singing since she was a little girl. Her mother played guitar and taught her three little girls old county classics. Since then, Janel’s preferences in music has broadened, but the gift of music remains a strong influence in her life.

Dave, however, only discovered his musical talents during college when he first learned to play guitar.

After playing at family and friend get-togethers and open mics, Dave and Janel decided to venture into the world of public performance. A good friend let them open for his show, and since then they’ve been hooked. Dave and Janel have been a couple for 12 years, performing for 8 years and married for 5 years.
